Velly ("we", "us", or "the app") is a mobile live-streaming application for Android. This policy explains what data the app accesses, why, and how it is handled.
Velly requests access to your device camera and microphone solely to capture video and audio for live streaming. The camera and microphone feed is sent in real time to the streaming platform(s) you configure (e.g. Twitch, Kick) and is not stored on our servers.
The app requires internet access to transmit your live stream via RTMP/SRT protocols. Network state and Wi-Fi information are used to monitor connection quality and enable bonding (combining multiple network connections for reliability).
Bluetooth permissions are used to discover and connect to external video sources such as DJI cameras over Bluetooth Low Energy. The app does not use Bluetooth for location tracking.
Notification permission is used to display a persistent notification while the streaming foreground service is running, as required by Android.
When you sign in to Twitch or Kick through the app, we use the standard OAuth flow provided by each platform. Authentication tokens are stored locally on your device in encrypted storage. We do not store your platform credentials on any server.
If you use the optional Velly relay/bonding server, your stream data passes through that server and is forwarded to your configured streaming platform(s). Stream data is processed in real time and is not stored or recorded on the relay server. The server stores a hashed stream key for authentication purposes.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. Your stream content is transmitted only to the streaming platform(s) you choose to connect to. If you use Google Play for in-app subscriptions, the purchase is handled by Google Play and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
All app settings and authentication tokens are stored locally on your device. We do not operate a cloud backend that stores user accounts or personal information. If you use the optional relay server, only a hashed stream key is persisted; no user data is retained.
Velly is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
